WebM Streaming for Catch Up TV

  1. WebM is a video file format intended primarily for royalty-free use in the HTML5 video tag. The WebM Project releases WebM-related software under a BSD license and all users are granted a worldwide, non-exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free patent license. The project is sponsored by Google Inc.

We begin experimenting with WebM recently. Using latest FFMPEG for Linux, we encode from high quality MP4 to WebM. If you're using Chrome, Firefox or Android device, try click the WebM link. Our primary video player still using Flash Plugin streaming HLS with 4 multibitrates quality.
